AusVeg National Convention and Trade Show ~ 27th – 30th May.

Vin Rowe Farm Machinery attended the AusVeg National Convention and Trade Show held at Jupiters on the Gold Coast as a sponsor and exhibitor. The convention attracted a large number of growers and representatives from the vegetable industry.
Keynote speakers and a quality trade show enticed 650 delegates to the convention.
The convention kicked started with a poolside welcome reception on the Thursday evening enabling all to meet and greet. MC Robert DiPierdomenico welcomed and entertained the crowd.
On Friday morning, Councillor Ron Clarke, Gold Coast City Council Mayor, addressed the crowd with a welcoming speech where he proudly promoted his City and opened the trade show. John Brent, AusVeg Chairman then officially opened the inaugural AusVeg National Convention, Trade Show and Awards for Excellence.
This was followed by 2 full days of International and Australian speakers covering a large range of topics from product innovation and marketing to “Women in Horticultural”.
The conference was concluded with the AusVeg National Awards for Excellence Gala Dinner on the Saturday night with guest speaker, legendary cricketer, Glen Mcgrath speaking on his illustrious cricket career and his dedication to the McGrath Foundation.
Sunday morning the event wound up with a Corporate Golf Day.
From a suppliers point of view we felt it was definitely worthwhile attending, with most interest aimed at the Monosem seed drill.
The Vegetable Industry events allow us the opportunity to catch up with growers, share ideas and make new contacts.
