Monosem NG 3 Plus - Pneumatic Planter with Double Discs
NG Plus Planters are famous for their sturdy construction producing high quality planting across a variety of crops.
Monosem has unmatched experience in the double disc planter field having developed the first NG Plus in 1989.
The NG 3 Plus makes further improvements on the NG Plus 2 in sturdiness and reliability, especially for intensive use in difficult conditions and low tillage.
The NG 3 Plus is equipped with guage wheels with reinforced bearings and arm brackets mounted on bushings. The rear packing unit is also mounted on reinforced bearings and a new hopper has capacity up to 52 litres.
The Secret
The secret to the high quality planting of the NG Plus is that the unit sits on the ground directly in line with the seed drop - ensuring a constant planting depth and improved plant emergence in all conditions. The NG Plus' double discs open a narrow and clean furrow further improving performance whilst the independent rear packing unit "V" Press wheels close the furrow to help germination. The curved seed tube and tip is specially designed to guide seed gently into the trench eliminating seed bounce.
PRO Wheel
Whilst press wheels have been used for years on vegetable and sugar beet planters, Monosem have developed the concept with the PRO Wheel.
With a diameter of 295mm the PRO Wheel ensures high quality soil packing and excellent seed placement. The packing down pressure of the PRO Wheel is fully adjustable and is combined with the pressure adjustment of the rear packing unit.
